Every year in Spain around 30.000 cardiorespiratory arrests take place, the 80% of them occur out of the hospital area so the witnesses’ action is essential. As part of the Atresmedia commitment with health, the Company has joined the celebration of the World Heart Day and reminded that doing cardiopulmonary resuscitation and using defibrillators with someone on a cardiac arrest, rises by 50% the possibilities to survive.

The training has been given by a health professional of Proyecto Salvavidas and has been well received by the employees, getting more than 200 hundred requests to participate in the session. During the training, the workers have learned to do the cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques, to use a defibrillator and to make the Heimlich maneuver in case of choking.
