He was born in Barcelona in 1958. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona. He has solid experience in corporate strategy, finance, and risk oversight, developed mainly in the publishing, audiovisual, and education sectors.

He began his career as Sales Director at Inforcasa (1982–1984), and subsequently served as General Manager of the same company (1984–1986). Between 1986 and 1991, he was General Manager of RBA Revistas.

In 1991, he joined Editorial Planeta DeAgostini, S.A., where he served as General Manager of the Collectables Division (1991–1993), General Manager (1993–1996), and Chief Executive Officer (1996–2001). He later became Chief Executive Officer of Grupo Planeta DeAgostini, S.L. (2001–2004) and Chief Executive Officer of Planeta Corporación, S.R.L. (2004–2015).

Since 2015, he has been Executive Deputy Chairman of Planeta Corporación, S.R.L. He also holds various senior positions within group companies, including: Chairman of Grupo Planeta DeAgostini, S.L. (acting as representative of Planeta Corporación, S.R.L.); Executive Chairman of DeAPlaneta, S.L. and Editorial Planeta DeAgostini, S.A.U.; Joint and Several Director of Planeta Sistemas Formación, S.L., Planeta Fabrik Ventures, S.L., Professional Direct Sales, S.L., Miren 2015, S.L., Planeta DeAgostini Formación Internacional, S.L., EAE EDP Ediformación, S.L., Centro Superior de Altos Estudios Internacionales, S.L., EAE-Ostelea Formación Online, S.L., Ulises Interactive, S.L., Ontreo Plus, S.L., Serial Readers, S.L., Universo Estelar, S.L., Planeta Junior, S.L., Prisma Publicaciones 2002, S.L., Planeta DeAgostini Formación, S.L.U., and Centro Libros PAPF, S.L.; and he is also a member of the Board of Directors of Logista Libros, S.L.

He is a Trustee of the Atresmedia Foundation and a member of the Advisory Board of the A LA PAR Foundation.
