More than 200 people from different Spanish cities attended the event on the 22nd May in CaixaForum Madrid. The occasion was honoured by the presence of the Social Services and Social Integration General Manager of Madrid. Also, other institutions were awarded: Asispa, for the Social Entity of the year; Alkor and María Teresa schools, for the Education Institution, and Interxion, for the Solidarity Company of the year.

Homeless volunteering, football matches in jails, housing rehabilitation, or attention to the basic needs of families in risk of social exclusion, were some of the initiatives narrated by the youth awarded for their five years of volunteering.

Atresmedia has co-organized with Cooperación Internacional NGO, for ten years now, the ‘Solidarity Company Day’, a pioneering initiative in Spain that promotes corporate volunteering among Spanish companies. The project has directly benefited 42.574 people during this decade.
