The reforestation day took place on 5 March 2022 and was the first on-site corporate volunteering activity since the start of the pandemic. Atresmedia volunteers collaborated with Reforesta Association by preparing the land and planting more than 110 different types of shrubs in the Cañada Real Galiana (old cattle track) as it passes through the municipality of Camarma de Esteruelas: kermes oak, butcher's broom, rosemary, salvias, lavender, thyme, hawthorn and jasmine.

Parents and children learned together how to preserve the natural environment, the solutions to stop deforestation, the type of species that can be planted depending on the area and factors to take into account when measuring the results. In addition, the children also helped by building insect hotels, a great experience for the little ones! An environmentally focused activity in which everyone experienced first-hand the importance of caring for the health of our forests.

With this environmental volunteering, Atresmedia begins to recover the face-to-face nature of its Corporate Volunteering Programme without forgetting what it has learnt and contributed in the last two years through online or distance activities, in which the Group's volunteers have accompanied different groups in a situation of special vulnerability due to the pandemic. The new projects are thus planned in a mixed format where both ways of helping will be compatible.
