This year the event will take place simultaneously in thirty-two countries from 7 to 14 May. Forética's subsidiary for Latin America will organise Give & Gain Day for the third year running in Argentina.

This year the event has the institutional backing of both the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality and the City of Madrid as well as the collaboration of Hazloposible and the participation as broadcasting partners of Atresmedia and the Hispano-Swedish Chamber of Commerce.

Now in its fifth year, the event aims to generate the greatest possible improvement in living conditions for the most vulnerable societies. Forética will mainly work with groups such as children and young people at risk of social exclusion, the homeless, elderly people with social isolation issues, and those with disabilities. It will also work towards biodiversity conservation in natural areas which are not properly cared for.

According to Germán Granda, managing director of Forética, “each year the Give & Gain Day shows how corporate volunteering can mobilise a company's human capital in an effort to improve its operational environment, thus encouraging the company to assume a proactive and transforming leadership role and act as an agent of social change.

As on previous occasions, Forética offers two ways to participate in the event: “Made to measure”, involves activities directly organised by Forética, with the collaboration of various NGOs while “Your own way” allows any organisation organising corporate volunteering events between the 7 and 14 of May to join the event.

Next May, in Madrid, Forética will organise the public launch of the International Week. Also, on 8 April, a webinar will be held to publicise details of the event and share some of the experiences of organisations that participated in previous events.
