Hosted by Antena 3 Noticias presenter Angie Rigueiro and produced by Atresmedia Eventos, ESGSpain 2020 had the online participation of more than 1,500 people from Spain, Europe and Latin America who were able to follow, through an innovative television program, the presentations of national and international experts in sustainability on trends, challenges and opportunities in this area to achieve a more prosperous and sustainable future.

The inauguration of the meeting was made by the Spanish Fourth Vice President and Minister for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, Teresa Ribera, and also included the intervention of international opinion leaders outstanding for their contribution to business sustainability, such as John Elkington, author of concepts such as 'Green Swans', the Triple Income Statement or the three 'Ps' (People, Planet and Profit); María Mendiluce, CEO of We Mean Business Coalition; and Nigel Topping, United Nations High Level Climate Action Champion - COP26. For their part, the Governor of the Bank of Spain, Pablo Hernández de Cos, and the President of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, José Luis Bonet, have analyzed the present and future trends of Sustainability, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (ODS).

The event, adapted to the context in which we live, delved into how companies are promoting action at a time of special uncertainty, highlighting that the future of sustainability is based on providing recovery scenarios to accelerate the transition of business models, through public-private alliances that enhance long-term sustainability. In this sense, it had business experiences from leading entities in their sectors such as Bankia, IKEA, ManpowerGroup, MSD, Naturgy and P&G and with the vision of the third sector through entities such as SEO / Bird Life and Ayuda en Acción.
