The study by Reuters and the University of Oxford, qualified as a worldwide reference in regard to information consumption habits, maintains the prominent position of Antena 3 Noticias and laSexta Noticias as means used to inform themselves by Spanish users.

The 21st edition of the Edelman Trust Barometer ranks Antena 3 as the leader in trust (57%) and laSexta as the second most trusted private television station (55%). This report, in its Spanish edition, also places Antena 3 and laSexta in absolute leadership in combination of traditional consumption habits and the Internet. In this way, both television channels are the only ones among the ten most consulted online brands in Spain.

The report indicates that Antena 3 and laSexta continue to obtain a high degree of trust among users of the media, especially through their News, pointing to incontestable figures compared to their most relevant competitors in the television field.

Antena 3 Noticias, again, is the main and most used source by users for information with 46%, while laSexta Noticias remains in second place with 32%. The newscasts of Antena 3 and laSexta lead the ranking over competitors such as Telecinco (30%), TVE (28%) and Cuatro (21%).

The leadership of Antena 3 and laSexta is also clear when it comes to generating greater trust among users due to their credibility. Antena 3 leads the ranking of televisions with a rating of 53% while laSexta is the second leading private network in this area with 46%.

The sum of both generalist channels, belonging to Atresmedia Televisión, with 99%, represents an indisputable leadership over other competitors such as TVE (48%) or Telecinco (35%), which is the channel that obtains the lowest credibility index in the report.

The data from the Digital News Report 2021 highlight that the Atresmedia TV channels, in their commitment to quality, credibility and plurality of information, have consolidated their audience and their influence in society as informational references, as has they had demonstrated throughout the pandemic.
