DIVERSITY
Diversity management
Atresmedia’s commitments to diversity are formally set out in its General Sustainability Policy, its Human Resources Policy, and its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Policy.
The Group’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Policy includes, among others, the following guiding principles:
- We promote a content model that reflects the diversity of society, gives visibility to minorities, and respects all groups.
- We encourage the hiring of people with disabilities and collaborate with organizations that support especially vulnerable groups in order to foster their integration into the labour market.
- We offer training opportunities for people with disabilities so they can receive education in the field of communication and advance their professional careers, facilitating their integration into the workplace.
Atresmedia’s diversity management strategy is structured around three main lines of action:
1. Training and employability of people with disabilities: Through its “Capaz” Scholarship Programme, inclusive recruitment procedures, and ongoing contact with organizations working with people with disabilities, Atresmedia promotes the training and employability of young people and adults with disabilities.
2. Content accessibility: One of Atresmedia’s key commitments to its audience is ensuring that its content is accessible to all people, through sign language interpretation, subtitling, and audio description.
3. Awareness and visibility: Atresmedia contributes to building a more inclusive society through internal and external awareness actions, such as volunteering, training, the broadcast of specific communication campaigns (Pride Day, International Women’s Day (8M), etc.), free campaigns for NGOs, and the accurate representation of diversity in its content.
In addition, the Group—aware of the importance of partnerships in promoting diversity in society—has been a signatory of the Diversity Charter since 2022.
