With these awards, Down Madrid wanted to recognize the work of the companies that have incorporated last year people with intellectual disabilities into their staff through the Employment Services of the Foundation. 61 people with intellectual disabilities have joined 43 companies during 2017 thanks to this normalization and integration project. The award ceremony took place at the Ramón Areces Foundation and Diego Villahoz, employee of Atresmedia through the Stela program, participated with a speech at the welcoming ceremony.

The Atresmedia Group, convinced of the power of diversity as a means to increase professional and human quality, began in 2017 this project of labor integration with the Down Madrid Foundation, which since 1995 works for the social and occupational integration of people with Down syndrome or other intellectual disabilities in ordinary work environments through the supported employment methodology.
