In 2023, the Radio Division of Atresmedia Group continued to focus on virtues such as credibility, viewpoint diversity and proximity, targeting in particular the fight against fake news and hoaxes spread through social networks. To succeed in this task, it used the most powerful weapon at its disposal: the professionalism and commitment of its entire team (editorial, production, commercial, back office, etc.), which in the case of Onda Cero features a perfect combination of experience and youth.

Onda Cero recorded its best end to the year since 2016, reaching almost 2 million listeners, with Carlos Alsina hitting an all-time record

The audience figures once again demonstrated the success of Atresmedia Radio’s strategy, having achieved 2.83 million daily listeners across its three stations. Onda Cero continued its leadership in audience share within the Group, with 1.94 million daily listeners, followed by Europa FM, which grew by 12% compared with 2022, to reach 850,000 listeners. This success was further reflected in the division’s year-end figures. In the digital realm, Onda Cero ended December with 4.4 million unique visitors, up 9% on the previous month. Europa FM also ended the year on a high note, with more than 1.4 million unique visitors, its third best figure of 2023 and its fourth best ever.

Onda Cero updated its corporate jingle in 2023, opting for newer and fresher institutional symphonies that resonate better with audiences. It also happened to be a year full of awards for Onda Cero’s various hosts and presenters. Carlos Alsina received the Francisco Cerecedo award for journalism from the Association of European Journalists, and the Golden Antenna and Julia Otero was handed the Medal of Honour of the City of Barcelona.

For its part, Europa FM's morning show, Cuerpos Especiales, has been consolidated with great success in all its outings and shows to the public, remaining faithful to the restless philosophy of the network.
