Emma and David are employees from the General Services department of Atresmedia and, among many other things, they manage the Atresmedia employee canteen, organize the trips within the company, take care of the waste management, the gardening, insurances...

On December 20, they also became Atresmedia Volunteers to offer an online workshop to children with cancer from Fundación Aladina and, through a video call, they carried out an online workshop on the secrets of television that nobody else knows.

Through this workshop, children discovered everything that needs to be done in order to do newscast or an entertainment program, visited the huge Atresmedia warehouse where all kinds of things are stored or discovered the department's wardrobe tailoring where they make and keep the suits of TV presenters.

More than two years “Together from home”

This workshop is part of the online leisure programme “Together from home” (Juntos desde casa) that was set up by the Aladina Foundation when the pandemic began, and which Atresmedia Volunteers joined in order to replace our face-to-face visits to the hospitals with online activities, so that they could continue to feel our closeness and affection, albeit through screens.

Over the last two years, through various online workshops organised by Atresmedia Volunteers from different departments, cancer patients have been able to find out how work is done in the media and what is behind the cameras and microphones.
