EXTERNAL AWARENESS
As a company committed to diversity, Atresmedia works to normalize the presence of diversity across its different formats, as well as in its advertising communications, in order to give voice to these realities and achieve full inclusion in society.
This work is carried out through two main lines:
1. Representation in the Group’s content.
Whenever the storyline of a series or programme allows it, Atresmedia commits to exploring the inclusion of plots and/or content related to social impact issues, such as the normalization of disability and the promotion of diversity and equality, among others, in its productions. In this line, it focuses on giving visibility to groups such as the LGTBI community or promoting disability inclusion through series and programmes such as Veneno, Ludmelia, Drag Race, Mariliendre, or the film Todos los colores, among others.
These productions have received awards and recognition for their commitment to diversity. Among others, Las Noches de Tefía received the MADO 2024 Award and the MIPCOM Diversity TV Awards; Veneno won the 2020 Ondas Award for Best Actress in National Fiction and a GLAAD Award for Best Spanish-Language Series.
2. Giving visibility to partner social organizations.
For more than 20 years, the Atresmedia Group has been developing initiatives together with its employees aimed at promoting diversity. These include:
