As part of its environmental commitment, Atresmedia publishes its climate performance every year by completing the prestigious CDP questionnaire. Factors such as the Group’s climate governance, having a decarbonization strategy aligned with the 1.5º pathway, and identifying climate-related risks and opportunities have led the Group to achieve an A- score for the second time in its history.

This rating recognizes Atresmedia’s efforts to improve its environmental impact and to lead the fight against climate change in the Spanish media sector. Among the most notable measures that contributed to this rating are:

  • Collaboration with suppliers of goods, services, and content to improve sustainability and reduce emissions from business relationships, including the incorporation of sustainability clauses in all contracts and the development of practical sustainable conduct guides.
  • Definition of a Net Zero strategy, validated by SBTi, with decarbonization targets across its three scopes for both the short and long term.
  • Conducting a physical climate risk analysis based on climate scenarios.
  • Public commitments regarding environmental impact, such as purchasing renewable electricity and including the carbon footprint of suppliers in Scope 3.

Atresmedia now faces the challenge of continuing to meet its commitments, with a special focus on decarbonizing its operations and value chain to achieve the goals of its Net Zero strategy and reach a 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. In this context, in 2026, the Group will continue implementing measures to fulfill its decarbonization strategy, promoting collaboration with its suppliers, and carrying out a new analysis of physical and transition climate risks based on scenarios.
