The study, widely regarded as an international benchmark for analysing news consumption habits, highlights the trust citizens place in Atresmedia’s news brands and reinforces the company’s role as one of Spain’s leading journalism organisations.

According to the report’s findings, Antena 3 remains the television channel with the highest level of trust among Spanish audiences, reaching 52%. Meanwhile, laSexta records a trust rating of 46%, making it the second most trusted private television channel. In radio, Onda Cero ranks among the media outlets most highly valued by the public, achieving a notable 49% trust score.

The report also once again places Antena 3 Noticias and laSexta Noticias among the most widely used news sources in Spain. Antena 3 Noticias leads the ranking, with 40% of users identifying it as one of their main sources of information, while laSexta Noticias ranks third with 23%.

These results reinforce a news model based on journalistic quality, rigour, plurality and closeness to audiences — values that form part of Atresmedia’s commitment to reliable and responsible journalism.

The Digital News Report is based on an online survey conducted by YouGov among nearly 100,000 respondents across around 50 countries and is considered the world’s leading study on news consumption habits and trust in the media.
