The study, considered a global benchmark in news consumption habits, continues to highlight Antena 3 Noticias and laSexta Noticias as the preferred news sources for Spanish users, outperforming their main competitors. Both Atresmedia TV channels rank in the top 3 of the most popular media outlets in the country.

The report places the news services of Antena 3 and laSexta as highly trusted and with strong audience loyalty among media consumers in Spain, with a particular focus on the performance of both channels’ news programs, which show outstanding results compared to their competitors in television.

The report reaffirms Antena 3 Noticias as the main and most-used news source for users, with a reach of 38%, while laSexta Noticias ranks third with 23%. Combined, Antena 3 and laSexta lead with a total share of 61%, far ahead of competitors like RTVE (27%) and Mediaset (38%, combining the news services of Telecinco and Cuatro).

The combined trust rating for Atresmedia’s two generalist TV channels reaches 92%, representing an undisputed leadership over the rest of the audiovisual competitors.

Additionally, in this edition of the Digital News Report, Onda Cero, with a 46% trust rating, is recognized as the most credible radio station, outperforming Cadena SER (45%) and COPE (43%).
