In addition, the Group has again offset its fugitive emissions by acquiring absorption credits from the “Galicia Rexenera: Lapa Furada” offset project in Vigo, through which it has compensated 223 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent to its fugitive emissions, adding to the 165 tonnes offset in 2023.

This offset, together with the calculation of the 2024 carbon footprint, has been registered in MITECO’s carbon footprint, offsetting and carbon absorption projects registry. As a result, Atresmedia has obtained, for the second consecutive year, the recognised MITECO “Calculate and Offset” seal.

The Group continues working to progressively reduce its greenhouse gas emissions (Scopes 1, 2 and 3) and meet the decarbonisation objectives of its Net Zero strategy for 2030 and 2050.

Regarding 2030, Atresmedia has committed to reducing its Scope 1+2 emissions by 86.1% compared to its baseline year (2019). Thanks to the measures implemented, the Group had achieved a 79% reduction in its Scope 1+2 emissions by the end of 2024, moving even closer to its target.
