The kitchen was the setting for a new volunteering activity organised together with La Merced Migraciones. On this occasion, 12 Atresmedia Volunteers spent the day with refugees supported by the organisation, taking part in an experience focused on teamwork and cultural exchange.

The activity took place at one of the organisation’s residential facilities and began with a group icebreaker designed to help participants get to know one another. Afterwards, mixed teams took on a culinary challenge: preparing a variety of dishes, including hummus, baba ganoush and salmorejo.

Beyond cooking, the day provided an opportunity to talk, share experiences and discover common interests. Once the dishes were ready, participants enjoyed tasting their creations together, accompanied by music and dancing.

La Merced Migraciones runs reception and social inclusion programmes for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, providing support and guidance in different areas to promote their integration and independence.
