In this edition, volunteers made 50 kits that will be distributed in different areas of the Hospital de Fuenlabrada: Emergency, Blood Tests, Lab, and the Hospitalization Ward. Each kit includes a superhero costume with a cape, wristbands, an IV pole cover, and a door sign for the room, along with an encouraging message from the volunteers. The goal is to make the waiting times and treatments more manageable for the children.
In 2023, Atresmedia Volunteers collaborated with Fundación Pequeño Deseo for the first time in assembling these kits. In 2024, they also contributed by decorating two Christmas trees at Hospital de la Paz with ornaments made by the volunteers at the hospital.
Fundación Pequeño Deseo has been working for years to improve the emotional well-being of sick children by granting wishes and carrying out actions that help them cope with their illness in a hospital setting. On this occasion, the kits created by the volunteers aim to provide tangible support during medical procedures, especially in areas where waiting and uncertainty are part of daily life.
This initiative is part of Atresmedia Volunteers’ commitment to social projects focused on health and well-being, aligned with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, and emphasizes the direct impact these collaborations have on specific individuals and communities.
