Throughout the morning, the volunteers — including individuals with disabilities from the organization itself — split into teams to tackle various tasks: cleaning stables, providing direct care to the horses (brushing, hydrating, and cooling them down), and building a new feeder using reclaimed wood. Another group focused on maintaining the facilities by applying linseed oil to a wooden cabin to protect it from wear and tear.
The activity took place in a natural setting, with animal welfare at the heart of the experience. After sharing a snack and exchanging impressions with ABAQUR’s volunteer team, the Atresmedia Volunteers continued their efforts until the end of the day.
ABAQURpromotes the holistic development of children through their bond with free-roaming horses, while also fostering environmental stewardship and the inclusion of people with disabilities. Thanks to the volunteers’ support, the conditions that make this meaningful project possible continue to grow stronger and generate real, positive impact.
