The morning was dedicated to enjoying Rascafría’s natural surroundings alongside Fundación Manantial users, with the aim of promoting social interaction, raising mental health awareness, and enhancing wellbeing through contact with nature.

The activity began with a bus ride from Madrid, during which all participants took part in an introduction and welcome session.

Once we arrived, participants exchanged personal experiences, shared opinions on current topics, and discovered common interests while exploring the natural environment.

The route passed through some of Rascafría’s most iconic spots, including Las Presillas, the horse enclosures, the Lozoya River, the Angostura area with its bridges, including the Puente del Perdón, and the Finnish Forest, one of the valley’s best-known natural spaces. There was also the opportunity to observe a group of horses nearby.

At the end of the hike, participants enjoyed a picnic prepared by Manantial Integra, Fundación Manantial’s Special Employment Centre, which promotes the employment of people with disabilities derived from mental health challenges.
