The group, comprised of Atresmedia employees along with their family and friends, toured the facilities in Valdetorres del Jarama, where the association operates and manages its veterinary center. The center was established as an additional means of generating income to support the many abandoned animals they care for.

During the morning, the volunteers attended an awareness talk, which provided valuable information about the problem of animal abandonment in Spain and ways to get involved. They then toured the facilities, met the animals awaiting adoption, and helped with tasks such as cleaning pet carriers and organizing the storage area.

As part of this awareness initiative, Atresmedia also sponsored three animals for a year, chosen by the volunteers. The lucky ones are Perry Poppins, Duque, and Angelito—a dog, another dog, and a cat.

National Association for Animal Friends (ANAA)

The National Association for Animal Friends (ANAA) is a non-profit organization founded in Madrid (Spain) in 1992 in response to the high number of animals abandoned and mistreated in the country, as well as the inadequate care they often receive from authorities.

Since 1992, ANAA has rescued over 25,000 dogs and cats from the streets, 75% of whom have found new homes. The shelter also operates a veterinary clinic that allocates 100% of its profits to support the abandoned animals they rescue.
