Though Atresmedia’s activities have a relatively limited environmental impact, the Company has had an Environmental Policy in place since 2010, that enshrines the Company’s commitment to environmental protection through the following courses of action: becoming more energy efficient, reducing the generation of waste and emissions, ensuring the responsible management of resources and raising awareness of environmental concerns among employees and society.

Atresmedia calculates and publishes its complete carbon footprint annually and establishes emission reduction targets that contribute to meeting the goals of the Paris Summit and help not to exceed a 1.5 degree increase in temperature on the planet. To do this, in 2021 Atresmedia has initiated a net zero emissions strategy and has committed to the Science Based Target initiative to become carbon neutral by 2050.

As a communication group, Atresmedia understands that its greatest contribution to caring for the environment involves raising awareness in society and making each citizen aware of the importance of their individual role, as well as the Company's employees. That is why Atresmedia puts the power of dissemination of its communication channels at the service of the environment, with the broadcast of informative programs, coverages and awareness campaigns on the matter. For this reason, and to promote information on the global challenge posed by climate change, in 2019 Atresmedia adhered to the Declaration of media and Climate Change.

On the other hand, and in order to continue improving its environmental management, since 2015 Atresmedia has been part of the Climate Change and Environment Cluster promoted by Forética and in 2020 Atresmedia joined the “Companies for Sustainable Mobility” platform.
