Last Saturday, 28 February, Atresmedia Volunteers spent the morning with older people supported by the Fundación Talento-MCR, taking part in an activity centred on music as a driver of intergenerational connection.

A total of 176 Atresmedia Volunteers participated this year in the “Tree of Dreams” initiative, gathering 106 gifts that are now ready to reach children in vulnerable situations, following the wishes expressed in their Christmas letters.

For the second time, Atresmedia Volunteers have joined the “Little Superpowers Kits” initiative by Fundación Pequeño Deseo, an effort designed to support hospitalized children during particularly delicate moments of their hospital stay.

A few days ago, we resumed our collaboration with Granito a Granito, an organisation that for more than ten years has been working to promote the dignity and social reintegration of people experiencing homelessness through comprehensive support that includes food, shelter and social services.

On 27 September, Atresmedia Volunteers and Fundación Manantial, which supports people with mental health challenges, spent a morning hiking along a natural trail in Rascafría, Madrid.

On 18 October, a group of Atresmedia Volunteers took part in the production of the 4th Mentes AMI event, an initiative by Fundación Atresmedia aimed at teachers, designed to foster critical thinking, creativity, digital skills and values among children and young people, with the support of the educational community.

On June 7, a group of Atresmedia employees took part in a volunteering day with the YMCA to help organize an end-of-course celebration in Polvoranca Park, in Leganés, for the children the organization works with.

This summer, Aarón, Elena, and Vicente — employees of Atresmedia — will travel to Havana, Cuba, to take part in Fundación Proclade’s social project. Their participation is part of Atresmedia’s corporate volunteering program, which each year offers employees the chance to support an international social cause in collaboration with a nonprofit. Since its launch in 2007, the program has taken volunteers to communities all around the world.

On Saturday, May 31, Atresmedia employees, joined by family and friends, took part in a volunteer day at ABAQUR’s headquarters in Villanueva de la Cañada. The goal of the activity was to improve the environment for the horses that make equine therapy possible for children with disabilities or developmental challenges.

The San Juan Reservoir was once again the setting for a volunteer day organized in collaboration with the Ecomar Foundation, with a clear goal: to protect the natural environment and raise awareness about the environmental impact of abandoned waste.

On Saturday, April 26, a group of 21 Atresmedia volunteers took part in a very special activity alongside children from Fundación Senara’s Learning Through Play project.

Last week, a group of Atresmedia Volunteers joined forces with Fundación Hogar Sí at ‘Espacio Salud,’ a safe environment where people experiencing homelessness can receive medical care and recover with the necessary support.

On Saturday, March 15th, a group of 20 Atresmedia Volunteers spent their morning with women, victims of violence, who are supported by the Mariana Allsopp Foundation in a bowlling alley. This organization provides assistance to help them rebuild their lives.

On Saturday, February 22, a group of Atresmedia volunteers visited the headquarters of AMI3 Association, a social organization dedicated to representing and advocating for the rights of people with disabilities and their families. Their goal was to learn from and collaborate with them.

Last Saturday, January 25, a group of Atresmedia Volunteers, along with their family and friends, took part in an activity with older adults from a care home supported by Fundación Talento MCR.

On December 22nd, the 12th edition of ‘Te Invito a Cenar’ took place at the Mirador de Cuatro Vientos in Madrid, where over 900 vulnerable individuals enjoyed a festive Christmas dinner thanks to the efforts of 600 volunteers. Among them, 32 Atresmedia employees, along with their families and friends, actively participated in service, cleaning, cooking, and gift-wrapping tasks, contributing to the success of this meaningful event.

On Saturday, December 14th, Atresmedia Volunteers joined young refugees from CEAR (Comisión Española de Ayuda al Refugiado) for a football tournament where we had the opportunity to share experiences, learn together, and work as a team.

During the month of November, Atresmedia Volunteers handcrafted Christmas decorations in their free time and from home to adorn two trees now displayed in the pediatric wards of La Paz Hospital in Madrid. In collaboration with the Fundación Pequeño Deseo, this initiative aims to bring joy and well-being to the children hospitalized there.

On Saturday, November 30th, 7 Atresmedia Volunteers participated in a volunteering activity alongside the Granito a Granito association in the area surrounding the Casa de Baños de Embajadores in Madrid. This space provides showers and basic services to homeless people in vulnerable situations.

On October 5th, 32 Atresmedia Volunteers visited the facilities of ANAA in Madrid to learn about the daily work of this association and the challenges they face in tackling the serious issue of animal abandonment in Spain.

On October 19th, Atresmedia Volunteers participated in the production of the 3rd Encuentro Mentes AMI, an initiative by Fundación Atresmedia aimed at equipping teachers with tools to help children and young people tackle new challenges in the information society, such as fake news, hate speech, and social media addiction.

Since 2015, Atresmedia has been collaborating with the Santa María Josefa de Vallecas soup kitchen, run by the Sisters of Jesus of Charity. This initiative supports both families with limited resources and children under their care, as well as homeless individuals.

On May 24th, 25th, and 26th, Atresmedia Volunteers participated in 'Gran Recogida de primavera', organized by the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL), with the goal of collecting non-perishable food to help people in need.

On Saturday, June 22nd, Atresmedia Volunteers, along with the Soñar Despierto Foundation, conducted a workday to make the home for former foster youth in the Community of Madrid more welcoming.

Over this time, nearly 50 employees have dedicated their time and effort to humanitarian causes in different parts of the world.

On July 4th and 5th, the fourth edition of the International Corporate Volunteering Congress, organized by Voluntare will take place under the motto "Gestures That Change the World,". Atresmedia Group will be, once again, media partner of this event, that will bring together more than 200 experts in the field featuring over 55 expert speakers.

A team of 40 Atresmedia volunteers enjoyed an eco-solidarity day last Saturday with a group of people with disabilities who work at the El Molino Municipal Occupational Center, managed by Fundación Aldaba. They learned about their daily activities, which include managing the garden, caring for farm animals, and participating in various artisanal workshops.

On March 16, we had the opportunity to carry out a creative and leisure activity with women at risk of exclusion, assisted by the Proclade Foundation, consisting of the creation of solid shampoos.

On Saturday, February 10, we visited the National Museum of Natural Sciences with boys and girls at risk of social exclusion cared for by Fundación Senara as part of a healthy leisure program carried out by the entity.

This summer, Voluntarios Atresmedia has rekindled its international volunteering and had the opportunity to send three professionals from different departments for two weeks to an orphanage in Nong Khai, Thailand, in collaboration with Asociación para la Solidaridad.

On October 7th, 28 Atresmedia volunteers, consisting of employees, their family members, and friends, took part in a volunteer and disability awareness activity. They had the opportunity to work in an urban garden, guided by young people with borderline intelligence supported by Capacis Foundation.

On June 3rd, a group of Atresmedia Volunteers, along with their family and friends, explored the city center of Madrid in a collaborative scavenger hunt with migrants, supported by the organization La Merced Migraciones.

On Saturday, March 4, Atresmedia Volunteers had the opportunity to share a culinary workshop during the morning with refugees from CEAR, the Spanish Commission for Refugee Aid, in where they practiced Spanish and learn about traditions and recipes from all over the world.

On February 18, Atresmedia Volunteers shared a leisurely morning with people from Hogar Sí – Fundación RAIS in which they were able to learn about their reality while chatting and visiting an immersive exhibition.

After cancelling the activity due to the arrival of Covid-19, the Atresmedia Volunteers were finally able to go to Asociación Antares headquarters to share a morning of crafts and fun with the young people with intellectual disabilities that this entity cares for.
